Shannon explains her talk:
In "Being and Time", Heidegger introduced the phenomenological concept of “world.” I will look at a few short passages from his other writings to explore the meaning of this important notion. I will be particularly interested in reflecting upon the importance this idea has for developing a critical theory of contemporary politics.
